We're hiring a (Senior) Solutions Engineer, Integrations (m/f/d) to join our growing integrations team. You'll own integrations end-to-end and enable self-service onboarding for our customers.

Your Role

Customer Discovery & Solution Design

Work directly with customers to understand their IT landscape, data flows, operational processes, and integration requirements
Design robust integration concepts — across third-party systems, APIs, EDI formats, file-based exchanges, and customer-specific workflows
Translate customer requirements into clear technical specifications, implementation plans, and handover materials for engineering

Hands-on Implementation

Build, configure, or prototype integration components as needed
Work closely with engineering to bring scalable solutions into production - Leverage AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor) strategically to deliver faster

Documentation & Repeatability

Write excellent documentation — for both humans and agents
Build reusable integration patterns and playbooks that make future onboarding faster and more self-service-friendly

Adoption & Customer Success

Take ownership of integration success after go-live — monitor usage, gather feedback, iterate with customers, and drive adoption
Serve as a bridge to Customer Success and Sales – provide technical pre-sales support, demos, and spec reviews

Your Mission

You are the bridge between our clients and our engineering team. When a client wants to connect to Vestigas, you own the process from the initial technical discovery to a successful go-live and network wide adoption.

You understand the customer's IT landscape, design the appropriate integration, write clear technical specifications, build prototypes yourself, and work closely with Engineering to get the integration up and running. You then ensure that it is actually being used.

With every integration, you continue to expand our playbooks and self-service components — so that the next integration goes faster than the last.

Own customer integrations end to end: from first technical discovery through solution design, implementation, testing, go-live, and adoption.
Work directly with customers to understand their IT landscape, data flows, operational processes, and integration requirements.
Design robust integration concepts across third-party systems, APIs, EDI formats, file-based exchanges, and customer-specific workflows.
Translate customer needs into clear technical specifications, implementation plans, and handover materials for engineering.
Build, configure, or prototype integration components where needed, and partner closely with engineering to bring scalable solutions into production.
Create excellent documentation and repeatable integration patterns that make future customer integrations faster and more self-service.
Take ownership of integration success after launch by monitoring usage, gathering feedback, iterating with customers, and driving adoption.

Your Profile

Must-Haves:

3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, Integration Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, Implementation Engineer)
You enjoy working directly with customers to solve complex operational and technical problems.
You have hands-on experience with APIs, webhooks, data formats, integration patterns, and system-to-system communication.
You are not afraid to dive deep into technical documentation, legacy systems, and complex data formats such as EDIFACT, XML, ZUGFeRD, ebInterface, CSV, or JSON.- Prototype-level coding skills (Python preferred) – you can explain and build it.
You can write clear technical specifications and communicate effectively with both customers and engineers.
You enjoy working cross-functionally with customer success, backend engineers, frontend engineers, product, and third-party providers.
You care about quality, reliability, and maintainability, including well-tested code or configurations where applicable.
You put AI agents and tools to work on the tasks they're built for, and focus on the work only humans can do.
You are fluent in German and English.

Nice-to-have:

ERP system experience: SAP, Datev, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage
Experience in the construction industry, logistics, supply chain, or other traditional B2B industries
Pre-sales experience (technical demos, RFPs, proposals)
Experience with integration platforms (Workato, Mulesoft, Zapier, n8n)
Python stack experience (FastAPI)
Startup or scale-up experience
